Before the scrub, it's common to spend some time in a steam room or soak in warm water to soften the skin, making it easier to exfoliate.
During the scrub, the attendant uses specialized exfoliating gloves or towels to vigorously rub the skin, focusing on areas prone to roughness such as elbows, knees, and heels. After the scrub, you'll rinse off in a shower or bath to remove the exfoliated skin cells and any remaining scrub residue.
Following the scrub, it's essential to apply moisturizer to hydrate and nourish the newly revealed skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple.
This review is long overdue. I've been a loyal customer at this all-women spa for a couple of years now. The facility is impeccably clean, and the service is even better. The experienced staff, especially the older ladies, offer exceptional Korean scrubs and massages, which even include a facial and a hair wash. They also have a cold plunge pool and wet and dry saunas. If you go, make sure to ask for Hong; she's an older Korean lady but incredibly skilled at her craft. I absolutely adore this place and will continue going there until I potentially move, but even then, I might find a way back! 😄
These facilities offer a holistic approach to relaxation, wellness, and socialization, deeply ingrained in Korean culture.
